Sincerely, the Afrobeat sensation disclosed that the concept for the film came to her during a moment of inebriation.

It is worth noting that Tiwa Savage had previously expressed that her initial passion was for acting, but she transitioned to music due to a romantic relationship.
The movie, now available on Prime Video, showcases Tiwa Savage in a prominent role and was skillfully directed by Meji Alabi.
Co-produced by Everything Savage and Unbound Studios, “Water & Garri” immerses the audience in the narrative of Aisha, a young woman who returns from the UK to discover her hometown of Cape Coast, Ghana, drastically altered from the one she left behind.
