Defection: Reps Trade Words as Member Blames Defection on 2027 Elections

The Labour Party seemed to be gearing up for the 2027 electioneering as the party’s chapter in Kastina recently inaugurated a twelve-member committee to bridge the communication gap existing between the party exco and party members after the 2023 general elections.

The party recently expressed that it would establish a workable template to ensure that its mandate will never be stolen again come 2027.

Comrade Ibrahim Musawa, the party chairman, praised the national chairman of the party for uniting the two organizations to function as a single family in his remarks just prior to the inauguration event, which was conducted at the party secretariat in Katsina.

He said this would result in a win in the general elections of 2027.
Musawa declared that the party is also developing a practical solution that would ensure that its mandate is never stolen again by 2027.

He underlined the party’s commitment to restore sanity to the nation and ensure that residents’ lives are favourably altered.

Musawa claims that the nation’s two main political parties are twins working to spread corruption and poverty; therefore, they will never be able to connect with either the present or the future generations.

“It’s very clear, open, and transparent that the Labour Party was the party that won the presidential seat during the 2023 general elections but was intimidated by the INEC and the judiciary in one way or another.
“Every problem has a solution; we are coming up with the solution before the 2027 general elections, where our mandate will never be stolen again.

“Our presidential candidate, Peter Obi, happens to be the most committed with the distinct ideology that is ready to transform the lives of the masses to the level that no one has ever done it in the history of Nigeria.
“He has the same manifesto as the Labour Party, which is internationally and genuinely interested in building an egalitarian society that is founded in social justice, peace, progress, and good governance.

“We remain committed to seeing that the lives of people have changed by bringing sanity to the land.”
He added that the nation was going through certain difficulties, including every Killings and insecurity, starvation, and hunger and they want the Labour Party to take over the leadership to restore the country.

“The two major political parties are twins under the mission of developing poverty and corruption and can never make any sense of belonging to us and the younger generation.

“We have tasted the two parties, and yet we are suffering. We need to wake up until we see the end of the game”, he added.

Those inaugurated include Haruna Usman, Comrade Ibrahim Abu Musawa, Anas Lawal Rabe, Fahad Musa, Albert Nwadike, Yazid Abubakar, Lawal Ibrahim Ladan, Aliyu Suleiman, Hon. Shuaibu Sada, Simon Oparachi, Habila Maina, and Lukman Hussaini.

The newly sworn-in members had earlier taken the oath of allegiance from party member Bilkisu Lawal, in which they all vowed to uphold and defend the party’s constitution and to work diligently as committee members.
Members also pledged to carry out their responsibilities faithfully and as effectively as possible.
