According to witnesses, the market, a significant centre for motorcycles and spare parts in the state, saw the fire spread quickly. The fire’s cause is still a mystery.
The media was informed by an eyewitness that “the fire service is still fighting to put it out, but we don’t know the cause of the fire; we just notice flame from the motorcycle shops.”
Many merchants and store owners were spotted at the site making desperate attempts to save their wares, but they were unable to do so because of the fire’s intensity.
