Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM), has been invited to attend Donald Trump’s second inauguration as U.S. President on January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C. The renowned cleric will join other global leaders at the historic event, marking Trump’s final term in office. Kumuyi emphasized the significance of the occasion, noting President Trump’s advocacy for Christian values and religious freedom during his previous tenure.
Speaking on the event, Pastor Kumuyi praised Trump’s commitment to the gospel and international religious freedom. “President Trump’s stand for the gospel is not without recognition, not just by American Christians, but all Christians globally,” he said. Kumuyi also highlighted the president’s efforts, including hosting the first-ever meeting of foreign ministers dedicated to religious freedom.
In addition to attending the inauguration, Kumuyi plans to engage with U.S. Congress members, church leaders, and media representatives. He sees the event as an opportunity for faith-based dialogue to shape policies that promote religious liberty worldwide. “This moment in history reminds us that faith transcends borders and unites believers worldwide,” Kumuyi remarked, emphasizing the need for global Christians to work together to advance religious freedom and gospel outreach.
Already in the U.S. with his wife, Esther, Pastor Kumuyi has emphasized the need for adaptability in spreading the gospel. In a recent message to his church, he called for innovative approaches to evangelism. “We cannot continue to do things in the same way and expect better results. We need to interact with the gatekeepers to further spread the gospel of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ,” he said. Kumuyi’s visit underlines the role of faith in fostering unity and influencing global policies.
