APC Deploys 6,000 Members to Reclaim Osun State in 2026

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has deployed 6,000 members across the state’s 30 local government areas. These members, operating under the Osun Progressives People’s Forum (OPPF), aim to galvanize support and expand the party’s reach through strategic mobilization and voter engagement.

The OPPF launched its initiative with a prayer session at the Tinubu/Shettima campaign office in Osogbo on Friday. The event was graced by party stalwarts, including the State Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, and other prominent APC leaders.

Speaking at the event, the group’s coordinator, Remi Abass, emphasized the importance of moving past internal blame games following the party’s loss in the 2022 gubernatorial election.

“We’ve tasked every member to win at least one soul into the APC fold. This is our strategy to ensure a victorious comeback in 2026,” he said. Former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Timothy Owoeye, expressed optimism about the party’s chances in 2026, declaring the APC’s readiness to unseat the ruling PDP. “We are prepared to reclaim Osun and deliver a resounding defeat to Senator Ademola Adeleke’s administration. Our efforts will extend to the 2027 elections as well,” Owoeye asserted.

The initiative also featured a sermon by Uztas Ibrahim Akeusola, a Muslim cleric, who called for unity among party members. He urged them to set aside internal conflicts and work in harmony to achieve their collective goal. “Jettison in-fighting, love your party, and rally behind its vision. A united APC will seamlessly regain power in Osun,” he advised.

The mobilization drive signifies a major step in APC’s rebuilding process, as it seeks to reconnect with the grassroots and restore its influence in Osun State. Party leaders believe this effort will consolidate their support base and reinvigorate confidence in the APC brand.
