The Nigerian Police Force has recorded a significant success in its efforts to combat kidnapping, with the rescue of the wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu. Mrs. Odumosu was kidnapped from her residence in Arepo, Obafemi/Owode local government area of Ogun State, on Friday by four heavily armed men.

The kidnappers, who were described as ruthless and well-armed, stormed the Odumosu’s home, shooting sporadically, and dragged Mrs. Odumosu from her Lexus Jeep. They then took her to an unknown location, leaving her family and loved ones in a state of distress.

However, the Nigerian Police Force, in a demonstration of its commitment to protecting the lives and property of citizens, swung into action and launched a massive manhunt for the kidnappers. The police, in collaboration with other security agencies, worked tirelessly to track down the kidnappers and rescue Mrs. Odumosu.

After a thorough investigation and a series of strategic operations, the police were able to neutralize the kidnappers and rescue Mrs. Odumosu. The police also recovered the ransom that was paid to the kidnappers. The successful rescue operation has been hailed as a major breakthrough in the fight against kidnapping in Nigeria.

The Inspector General of Police has commended the police operatives and the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Lanre Ogunlowo, for their bravery and professionalism in carrying out the rescue operation. The police have also assured Nigerians that they will continue to work tirelessly to protect the lives and property of citizens.
