As Ondo State marks its 49th anniversary, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to driving sustainable development and economic growth. He acknowledged the state’s journey since its creation in 1976 and expressed confidence in its continued progress.
In a statement released through his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, Aiyedatiwa praised the founding fathers for their vision and dedication in shaping the state’s trajectory. He highlighted the milestones achieved over the years and the collective efforts that have contributed to Ondo’s transformation.
Governor Aiyedatiwa also reflected on the state’s leadership history, noting that Ondo has been governed by 19 leaders 12 military and seven civilian – since its establishment under General Murtala Muhammed’s administration. He commended past leaders for their roles in laying a strong foundation for development.
While celebrating the achievements of the past, Aiyedatiwa emphasized his administration’s resolve to build on the legacies of previous governments. He assured residents of Ondo that his leadership remains focused on unlocking the state’s full potential for the benefit of all citizens.
He further urged the people of Ondo to continue supporting government policies and initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth, infrastructural development, and improved welfare services. He stressed that unity and collective effort are crucial for achieving long-term prosperity.
