President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of two senior aides in the Vice President’s office. Mr.

Temitola Adekunle-Johnson has been appointed as Special Adviser to the President on Job Creation and MSME,

while Mrs. Uju Anwuka has been appointed as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Health.

Both appointees have previously held similar roles within the Vice President’s office. Adekunle-Johnson served as

Senior Special Assistant, playing a key role in advancing the administration’s initiatives in job creation and micro,

small, and medium enterprises (MSME) development.

Adekunle-Johnson supervised projects such as the Expanded National MSME Clinics and the Shared Facility

Initiative. His experience and expertise are expected to be valuable assets in his new role.

Anwuka, on the other hand, was Special Assistant on Public Health, spearheading efforts to combat malnutrition and

hunger, particularly in vulnerable communities. She was instrumental in the implementation of the recently launched

Nutrition 774 Initiative.

The new appointees are expected to hit the ground running, with their appointments taking immediate effect. The

presidency announced the appointments in a statement issued by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media

and Communications, Office of the Vice President, Stanley Nkwocha. The statement highlighted the appointees’ previous experience and expertise.

Adekunle-Johnson and Anwuka’s promotions are seen as a testament to their hard work and dedication to the

administration’s goals. Their new roles are expected to have a significant impact on the administration’s initiatives in

job creation, MSME development, and public health.

The appointments have been welcomed by stakeholders, who believe that the new appointees will bring fresh

perspectives and ideas to their roles. The presidency has expressed confidence in the ability of Adekunle-Johnson

and Anwuka to deliver on their mandates.
