A public feud between gospel singer Timi Dakolo and Apostle Femi Lazarus has come to an end, with the two announcing that they have put their differences aside. The controversy began when Apostle Lazarus criticized gospel singers for charging high fees for their performances.

Dakolo responded to the criticism, questioning the authenticity of an alleged invoice from Apostle Lazarus and

pointing out that the pastor himself charges for his school of ministry. However, in a recent post on his Instagram

page, Apostle Lazarus shared a photo with Dakolo and Apostle Iren, indicating that the two have reached a mutual

understanding.

Apostle Lazarus praised Dakolo as a “music legend” who genuinely cares about the welfare of musicians. He

acknowledged that the pain and concerns of musicians are real and expressed commitment to building better

structures to support them.

The cleric emphasized the need for hosts and guests to do better in the future, saying that they will work together to

build a better nation. Dakolo’s response to the controversy had sparked a heated debate about the fees charged by gospel singers.

Apostle Lazarus’s criticism of gospel singers had been seen as an attack on the music industry, but his recent post

suggests that he is willing to listen to the concerns of musicians. The controversy had highlighted the need for

greater transparency and accountability in the music industry.

The feud between Apostle Lazarus and Dakolo had sparked a wider conversation about the role of gospel music in

society. While some had defended the right of gospel singers to charge fees for their performances, others had

argued that the practice was unethical.

The resolution of the feud is a welcome development for the music industry, which has been grappling with the issue

of fees charged by gospel singers. The controversy had highlighted the need for greater dialogue and understanding

between musicians, pastors, and their audiences.

Apostle Lazarus’s decision to make amends with Dakolo is a positive step towards healing the rift between them. The two have demonstrated that it is possible to disagree without being disagreeable.
