The Portuguese and Manchester United midfielder has been linked with transfer talks to Saudi Pro League for some time, with the hopes of a possible transfer in the Summer window.

Saudi Pro League is known for its enormous financial wealth and investment in the sport. The league over time has drawn big names like Christiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, N’Golo Kanté, Riyad Mahrez, Karim Benzema, Franck Kessié, Jhon Durán, among others. All from top European leagues.

The Saudi Pro League sides, with its oil wealth, is aggressively pursuing professionalisation of its league at top level to compete globally with European top flights.

The Manchester United captain, Fernandes, after suffering a terrible season at United–which sits at 15 in the league table–was reported to make a move in favour of the Saudi offer, where he’d have better chances of earning higher wages and lower tax cuts.

However, despite the mouthwatering contract proposal from the Saudi Pro League club, Bruno Fernandes wants to continue playing football in Europe. He has rejected the Al Hilal’s offer.

Man United captain has decided to play at top level in Europe.
