The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Service Board (CDCFIB) has temporarily suspended its online recruitment portal operations.
According to a statement by Board Secretary, retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jubril, the CDCFIB recruitment portal https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng. will remain closed until July 21.
He explained that the temporary suspension aims to optimise the CDCFIB recruitment portal and ensure a more efficient experience for applicants.
The goal, he added, is to accommodate the high traffic of users without compromising transparency or fairness in recruitment.
“This move will enhance the portal’s performance and ensure every eligible applicant can access it without issues,” he stated.
He appreciated the patriotic enthusiasm of young Nigerians seeking to serve in the country’s critical paramilitary services through the platform.
Initially, the online recruitment exercise was scheduled to begin on July 2 but was later shifted to July 14.
Since then, multiple users have reported access errors and technical issues disrupting the seamless submission of their applications.
The affected paramilitary agencies include the Nigerian Correctional Service, Civil Defence Corps, Immigration Service, and Federal Fire Service.
The CDCFIB recruitment portal has become a central point of concern for thousands of job-seeking Nigerians across the country.
Many applicants expressed frustration online, saying the delays could dampen confidence in the fairness of the recruitment process.
However, officials assured that the system upgrade would lead to a more reliable, transparent, and user-friendly digital experience.
By resuming on July 21, the board hopes the updated system will reduce congestion and ensure timely applicant evaluations.
CDCFIB emphasized its commitment to equal opportunity and urged applicants to remain patient while improvements are finalised.
All eligible Nigerians are advised to monitor the recruitment site and resume their application process once access is restored.
