Inter Milan has shown interest in signing Nigerian forward, Ademola Lookman from Atalanta. The Serie A club, Atalanta, on Thursday, rejected Inter Milan’s opening bid of €40m for their forward, Lookman.
According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Atalanta wants at least €50m from Inter Milan for Lookman’s signature.
“Inter [Milan] informed Atalanta about their opening €40m bid for Ademola Lookman, while Atalanta insist on fee at least reaching €50m,” Romano posted on his X handle.
“Lookman wants to leave and hope club will facilitate his exit but Atalanta keep their position on no green light to Italian clubs at €40m.”
The African Player of the Year 2024, has already indicated his interest to leave Atalanta within the summer transfer window.
Lookman, 27, won the Europa League with Atalanta last year, making history with his hattrick goals in the final against Leverkusen and also ending Leverkusen’s unbeaten streak in that season.
However, Inter will have to up their bid in the coming days to secure the signature of the Nigeria international.
