The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Privatisation, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, has advised Nigerians to exhibit patience with the Federal Government as it strives to enhance the welfare of the populace.
The former governor of Abia State acknowledged that the administration led by President Tinubu is implementing practical and enduring reforms for the overall progress of the nation. He emphasized the importance of synergy between the citizens and government at all levels for the benefit of Nigeria.
Kalu urged leaders across all tiers of government to involve their constituents in decision-making processes before, during, and after elections. He also stressed the significance of politicians adhering to ethical standards.
In a message of goodwill commemorating the one-year anniversary of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu, Kalu stated, “It is crucial for Nigerians to continue supporting the ongoing reforms in various sectors as we mark the one-year milestone of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.”
He emphasized the need for collective efforts to complement the Federal Government’s initiatives aimed at restructuring the nation for a prosperous future.
Kalu highlighted the diligent work of the Federal Government in repairing infrastructure and implementing development projects nationwide to enhance the quality of life for Nigerians.
He stressed the necessity for leaders at all levels of government to consistently engage with the populace to ensure sustainable progress.
Furthermore, Kalu underscored the importance of upholding the principles of democracy, including integrity, transparency, and accountability, to propel Nigeria towards greater achievements.
In his congratulatory message to President Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, and other stakeholders, Kalu urged the political class to meet the expectations of the people in their endeavors.
