Nigeria Egypt aviation agreement will significantly enhance air connectivity and deepen cooperation between the two African nations.
Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, signed a Memorandum of Understanding and an upgraded BASA.
The agreement, finalized during a high-level meeting in Abuja, also stemmed from discussions at the 2024 ICAN Conference.
According to Tunde Moshood, Keyamo’s media adviser, the Nigeria Egypt aviation agreement deal marks a vital step toward stronger bilateral aviation partnerships.
During the signing, Keyamo met with Egypt’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr Badr Abdellatty, who welcomed the strategic collaboration.
Keyamo emphasized that the agreement represents both nations’ determination to promote regional air travel and mutual aviation growth.
“This agreement fulfills commitments made during ICAN 2024 and strengthens aviation trade, tourism, and knowledge exchange,” he noted.
He added that the partnership opens vast investment opportunities across infrastructure, air route expansion, and workforce development.
Meanwhile, Abdellatty expressed Egypt’s readiness to deepen long-term aviation ties and drive economic growth through enhanced connectivity.
He explained that aviation can act as a powerful engine for increased trade, tourism, and intercontinental cooperation between both countries.
