The lawmaker representing Yagba East/Yagba West/Mopamuro Federal Constituency of Kogi State at the 10th National Assembly, Leke Abejide, has urged Nigerian youths to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He assured that Tinubu would fix all Nigeria’s problems before exiting office.
Abejide—who is the chairman of the House Committee on Customs—made the remarks when he received All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains and the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, led by their National Coordinator, Abbas Mustapha, and the Secretary, Mustapha Alfa Makanta, in his office in Abuja recently.
Abejide declared that President Tinubu would be returning as the Nigeria’s president in 2027.
According to him, the economic policies of the Tinubu-led administration had already started yielding results with the decline in the inflation rate, which stood at 21.88 percent as of July 2025, after rebasing, and the gradual reduction in the prices of food items.
He urged the group to keep faith with Tinubu and to remain focused ahead of the 2027 election.
The group’s leader, Mustapha commended Abejide for supporting President Tinubu’s administration despite being an ADC lawmaker.
“We commend your unwavering loyalty to the cause of Mr. President. You have proven not only to be progressive but also to be part of the journey to usher in a breather of fresh air for the country,” Mustapha said.
