Ajinomoto Foods Nigeria (AFN), the manufacturer of AJI-NO-MO-TO®, DeliDawa, and MaDish® Seasonings, recently conducted a market visit to Ojuwoye Market, Mushin Market, and Aba Cemetery, as part of public education and awareness efforts on hypertension on the occasion of World Hypertension Day.
The team visited Ojuwoye Market, Mushin, Lagos State, and Cemetery Market, Aba, Abia State, on May 17 and 21 respectively. According to AFN management, the visit was aimed at raising public awareness about high blood pressure, the effects of consuming too much salt, and the benefits of using JIA-NO-MO-TO® to reduce the risk of hypertension, especially in the presence of MSG.
PMI changed the conference name to reflect the continent’s role in global trade Glutamate (Umami substance and source of MSG) is found in most natural foods such as meat, seafood, vegetables, cheese, tomatoes, and milk, as well as in our local food spices like Ogiri, Daddawa, and Iru.
AJI-NO-MOTO® seasoning is approved by local and global health authorities, including NAFDAC. During the visit, the team carried out other activities, including a health campaign in which specialists will check blood pressure, sugar levels as well as weight and height for free, especially in people over 40 years old.
The management also took the opportunity to reassure Nigerians on the safety of AJI-NO-MO-TO® food seasoning saying that it has been tested by food scientists, nutritionists, researchers, and national and global regulatory agencies.
Management further emphasized that food seasoning promotes low salt intake, a healthy lifestyle and enhances the flavor of food.

Adding to the festivities, renowned food influencer and chef Ifeyinwa Mogekwu, commonly referred to as Ify’s Kitchen, a brand ambassador for AFN, was on hand to engage with attendees and showcase her culinary expertise, demonstrating the versatility and flavor-enhancing properties of AJI-NO-MOTO® in her delectable dishes.
