Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has stated that the state remains a stronghold of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and will give unalloyed support to President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Speaking at the flag-off of the APC North-East e-registration workshop in Maiduguri, Zulum affirmed his government would help ensure the success of the party’s digital membership registration across the region.
He commended the APC-led federal government for restoring peace and rebuilding Borno after years of insurgency. “Borno is 100% APC. Before the APC came, our people were living in fear, but today the story has changed,” he said.
Zulum praised both former President Muhammadu Buhari and President Tinubu for their continued efforts in fighting terrorism and rebuilding the North-East. He also noted the role of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) in reconstructing communities.
The governor urged Borno residents to start mobilising early for Tinubu’s 2027 campaign, saying the president’s leadership should continue for the progress of Borno.
