Mr Kabiru Garba, Zamfara State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has stated that the party is prepared to take over governance in Zamfara State from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2027 general elections.
Garba stated this on Wednesday while addressing journalists at a stakeholders’ meeting for the Phase II Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise in Gusau.
He said the party continues to attract new members from various political groups across the state.
“As I am speaking to you now, we are busy every day receiving high-calibre political stakeholders in the state. People believe that with the ideologies of our great party, it is becoming more popular on a daily basis,” he said.
“We are becoming stronger. The party is capable of winning all political offices in the state, including the governorship position, in the 2027 general elections,” the chairman added.
Garba described the ADC as the “most popular party in Zamfara,” adding that citizens are increasingly willing to join the party.
“The ADC is ready for the election, even if it is held tomorrow. I believe the people of the state are ready to vote for the ADC because they are tired of the current administration in the state led by the PDP.
“The entire Nigerians are also tired of the ongoing administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC),” he added.
He also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the arrangements made for the second phase of the CVR exercise and assured that the ADC would actively mobilise and sensitise its members to participate.
