Kwankwaso Warns of Government Plot to Create Insurgents in Northern Nigeria

A former governor of Kano State and leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, has accused the administration of Ahmed Bola Tinubu of jeopardizing Kano’s security by their reluctance to remove heavily armed personnel guarding the deposed Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.
Kwankwaso also criticized the Federal Government for allegedly trying to foster a new wave of extremist groups and insurgents in Northern Nigeria.

Kwankwaso was responding to the ongoing situation in Kano where federal security agencies are reportedly supporting the deposed Emir Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.
At the inauguration of the construction of 82 kilometers of rural road networks in his hometown of Madobi, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso made a passionate statement to the gathering, declaring that the people of Kano would not tolerate any attempt to weaken the existing authority and leadership in the state.
“We enjoy widespread support because the people trust us, we are pro-people, and the NNPP administration is committed to serving them wherever they have cast their votes,” he stated.

Kwankwaso further asserted that as politicians, “we will not sit idly by and allow adversaries of the state to disrupt the harmonious coexistence of our beloved state, as we will do everything in our power to assist the governor in achieving success. I am pleased that he remains undistracted and focused on realizing his objectives.”There are individuals from Kano, who are enemies of the state, suffering from mental instability and they are the ones advising the Federal Government on how to seize control of Kano through a State of Emergency. This is sheer lunacy that the decent, peace-loving, and dedicated people of Kano will oppose.”
Kwankwaso also declared that “as we approach 2027, certain desperate politicians are already engaged in disruptive activities, but we would rather both lose than allow them to crush us unnecessarily.
“We challenge anyone who believes they can politically victimize us to be assured that we are prepared for the battle.
“We are not afraid of being out of power because we will remain, politicians, whether in or out of office, we cannot escape our fate, we are human beings, we understand what is best for us, and we will pursue it vigorously.”
The national leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) further asserted that the Federal Government was heeding advice from unpatriotic politicians from Kano who would only contribute to its downfall.
He pledged that the people of Kano would oppose any efforts to undermine the governor’s constitutional duties by any individual or group.”We are amenable to discussions, peace, and reconciliation, but we will not tolerate any form of intimidation or political persecution.
“We are well-versed in political maneuvering and possess all the necessary means to shield ourselves from any malevolent forces,” Kwankwaso firmly cautioned.
