The Kano Police Commissioner, Salman Garba, has called on 181 newly promoted officers to significantly boost their efforts in combating crime across the state. This appeal was made during a formal event where the officers, recently advanced in their ranks, were honored for their new positions.
In a detailed statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna, it was reported that these officers were elevated from the rank of Inspectors to Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP II). This promotion was part of a broader update announced by the Police Service Commission on July 29, 2024. The event marked a significant moment for these officers, recognizing their hard work and dedication to their roles within the police force.
The promotion ceremony took place on August 13, 2024. During this ceremony, the Commissioner of Police for Kano State, CP Salman Garba, personally decorated the 181 officers with their new ranks.
