Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has pledged extensive implementation of soft infrastructure and continuation of impactful programs inherited from the APC administration in the 2025 fiscal year. Speaking during a New Year statewide address, Adeleke assured residents that his administration remains committed to enhancing the well-being of the people while maintaining transparency and accountability in governance.
Highlighting his achievements over the past two years, Adeleke noted that his administration had rehabilitated over 150 kilometers of roads, upgraded 100 schools, refurbished 200 health centers, and provided 332 local water facilities. He emphasised that the government’s infrastructure agenda has been driven solely by internally generated revenue and federal allocations, without borrowing or relying on security votes.
“This new year will witness the extensive implementation of soft infrastructure aimed at ensuring that good roads are complemented by healthy and strong citizens,” Adeleke said. He stressed that his administration would continue to sustain beneficial programs inherited from the APC while focusing on completing ongoing projects and initiating new ones outlined in the 2025 budget.
The governor also extended a call for unity and cooperation, inviting opposition parties to join hands with his administration in transforming the state’s fortunes. “As democracy is a government of the people, I urge the opposition to use the Freedom of Information Act to engage with data on our programs. We are all stakeholders in the progress of our state,” Adeleke remarked.
Adeleke remarked on his dedication to transparency and accountability, affirming that he has kept his pledge to uphold good governance. He assured residents that their welfare remains his primary motivation and promised to deliver on all commitments made under his administration.
