A Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, has affirmed the suspension of Ali Odefa from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Odefa was suspended from the party on October 4, 2024, by the executive committee of the party at his Oguduokwor Ward in the Onicha local government area of Ebonyi State over allegations anti-party activities.

Delivering the judgement of the matter filed by HON. OVUTA HERBERT ONYEDIKACHI & ORS V. CHIEF ALI ODEFA & ORS with Suit No FHC/AI/CS/182/2024, Justice Hilary Oshomah affirmed the suspension of Ali Odefa and ordered that Odefa should henceforth stop parading himself as the National Vice Chairman of the party having been validly suspended from the party.

The Judge further ruled that the suspension of Odefa took effect from November 29, 2024.
