The army officers described as a Major General and his escorts were seen attacking the victim for ‘overtaking’ their vehicle.
According to the 1:57 minute video seen on several platforms, the man was seen groaning in pain and saying, “How did I pass your car? How did I pass your car? Oh My God!” while being brutalized by the soldiers.
Despite the pain, the soldiers did not hold back on inflicting more beating on the man, as the woman with the victim in the vehicle was heard shouting in the background, “He is not feeling fine! He’s not feeling fine! Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!”
The army personnel also attacked the female passenger for recording the encounter.

Since then, the video has caused a lot of uproar online. According to some sources, the victim is suing, requesting N150 million in compensation and the Major General’s removal.
Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, the Acting Chief of Army Staff, responded to the video by demanding an inquiry into the violence.
