A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, commended Rivers residents for boycott of Saturday’s LG election.
According to him, the Rivers LG election boycott reflected voters’ outright rejection of what he strongly described as political illegality and electoral fraud.
Eze emphasized that he firmly believes a competent court will eventually dismiss the election as null and void.
Eze alleged the election was managed by a team unlawfully appointed by Sole Administrator Ibok-Ette Ibas.
He noted the 23 chairmanship candidates were loyalists of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, raising serious credibility questions.
Shockingly, Eze claimed result sheets from polling units were hijacked and hidden inside a Port Harcourt hotel for manipulation.
He alleged figures were distributed privately, with votes allocated rather than transparently recorded at polling units across the state.
Eze described videos from Emohua showing RSIEC staff thumb-printing ballots for APC without actual voter participation.
Despite empty polling units, factional APC chairmanship candidate Chidi Lloyd allegedly emerged winner with over 100,000 votes declared.
He further condemned results in Ikwerre, Obio-Akpor, Port Harcourt, and other areas where residents clearly shunned the process.
Eze argued the manipulated results prove FCT Minister Wike has never genuinely won any election during his career.
He reminded Nigerians that Wike lost his polling unit to Labour Party in 2023 but altered results during collation.
Eze concluded that the Rivers local government election reflected nothing but a vote allocation exercise favoring Wike’s cronies.
