This loss, their second in a row in La Liga, leaves Barcelona in a precarious position at the top of the table, with Real Madrid now closing in just four points behind with two games in hand.

From the start, Las Palmas made it clear they would not be intimidated by the occasion, exposing Barcelona’s high defensive line with some threatening early counters.
