In a thrilling turn of events, the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, warmly welcomed and received the eight rescued students of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, at the Nigerian Army Headquarters in Abuja. This remarkable development comes as a beacon of hope and a symbol of resilience in the face of adversity.

The students, who were abducted by bandits, have been successfully rescued thanks to the relentless efforts of the security operatives and local vigilante groups. Governor Ododo commended the bravery and dedication of the rescue teams who worked tirelessly to ensure the safe return of the students to their families and loved ones.
Expressing his heartfelt gratitude to all those involved in the rescue mission, Governor Ododo underscored his commitment to maintaining the safety and security of the citizens of Kogi State. He vowed to make Kogi State an unsafe haven for criminals, sending a strong message that acts of lawlessness and violence will not be tolerated under his watch.

The Governor’s swift action and decisive leadership in the wake of the abduction of the CUSTECH students have demonstrated his unwavering dedication to protecting the lives and well-being of the people of Kogi State. By immediately receiving the rescued students and ensuring their safety, Governor Ododo has shown his deep sense of responsibility and concern for the welfare of his constituents.
The successful rescue of the abducted students is a testament to the resilience and determination of the Nigerian security forces and local communities in the face of security challenges. It highlights the importance of collaboration and cooperation among all stakeholders in the fight against crime and criminality.
As the rescued students are set to reunite with their families and begin the process of recovery from their traumatic ordeal, Governor Ododo has assured them of the government’s full support and assistance. He emphasized the need for ongoing efforts to enhance security measures and prevent future incidents of kidnapping and violence in the state.
