The African Player of the Year 2024, Ademola Lookman, is currently in the list of names suggested for summer signing by the Barcelona coach, Hansi Flick. Having made history by winning a domestic treble in his first season as Barcelona coach, Hansi is yet looking to boost his team with new signings.

Ademola Lookman seem attractive and financially suitable option, as he could leave Atalanta for €30M according to CatalunyaRadio. The Atalanta forward, although suffered an knee injury during a training seesion prior to a champions league match against Barcelona in the just concluded season, he however managed to rake 15 goals and 5 assists in 31 matches.

The Nigerian international in the last two seasons has proven himself a worthy forward at both club side and country. He was instrumental in Atalanta winning the Europa Cup in the2023/24 season, where he netted a stunning hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen in a  3-0 win. 

His three goals in the 2024 Europa final made history, making him only the sixth player to score a hat-trick in a European final, the last one being in 1975. His hat-trick also ended Beyer’s unbeaten run in 2024 season.

Ademola Lookman is a prospect for the summer signings for Barcelona, among other names like Liverpool’s Luis Díaz, AC Milan’s Rafael Leão.
