Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen’s transfer drama was a tough and rough one with Napoli rejecting Turkish giant Galatasaray bid three times, insisting on accepting nothing less than the €75m on the player’s release clause.
Osimhen reported told Napoli’s Sporting Director Giovanni Manna to make it easy for him to join Galatasaray within the summer transfer window.
Osimhen spent last season on loan at Galatasaray and has been keen to join the Turkish champions on a permanent transfer after rejecting a move to Saudi club side Al Hilal.
However, Napoli further rejected Galatasaray’s previous bid demanding bank guarantees for compete payment. Galatasaray intensified negotiations in a fourth attempt with Napoli, assuring the Italian Serie A champions of its intent to meet financial obligations and commitment for Osimhen.
Finally, in the fourth attempt, negotiations between Galatasaray and Napoli have proved successful. Verbal agreement has been reached and club to club documents exchange to start in next 24hours.
Galatasaray will pay €40m now, and €35m once in 2026. Also a 10% on future profit and a goals based bonus were agreed in the transfer deal.
The deal also stipulates that Osimhen can’t be sold to any Italian club for 2 years.
