Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), recently made an important visit to the Hausa community in Benin City as part of his campaign efforts leading up to the September elections. His visit aimed to garner support from stakeholders within the community, emphasizing the importance of their backing for the upcoming electoral contest.
Accompanied by members of the National Working Committee and key figures such as Edo State gubernatorial candidate Senator Monday Okpebholo, his deputy Hon. Dennis Idahosa, and other prominent party officials, Ganduje passionately appealed to the Hausa community to rally behind Okpebholo. He underscored the candidate’s commitment to safeguarding their interests within the state, urging them to cast their votes in his favor.
During the engagement, Ganduje spoke highly of Okpebholo, lauding him as a polished and electable candidate for the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State. He expressed confidence in Okpebholo’s popularity and capability to secure victory for the APC in the state, highlighting his appeal to a broad spectrum of voters.

Ganduje’s visit underscored the strategic importance the APC places on mobilizing support across diverse communities in Edo State. By directly engaging with the Hausa community, he aimed to solidify their allegiance to the party’s gubernatorial candidate, emphasizing Okpebholo’s suitability to address their concerns and aspirations.
In his address to the stakeholders, Ganduje reiterated the APC’s readiness and determination to emerge victorious in the upcoming election. He pointed to Okpebholo’s candidacy as pivotal to the party’s prospects, emphasizing his track record and ability to effectively lead Edo State forward.
The visit not only showcased Ganduje’s proactive approach to campaign outreach but also highlighted the APC’s strategy to harness support from various demographic groups across the state. By aligning with local communities and addressing their specific needs and expectations, the party sought to build a broad-based coalition of supporters ahead of the crucial electoral battle.
Ganduje’s characterization of Okpebholo as a refined and credible candidate resonated with the audience, signaling the party’s confidence in his leadership qualities and capacity to deliver on campaign promises.

This endorsement aimed to sway undecided voters while consolidating support from existing party loyalists within the Hausa community.
Looking ahead, Ganduje emphasized the significance of voter turnout and active participation in shaping the future of Edo State. He urged the Hausa community to exercise their democratic rights responsibly by casting their ballots for Okpebholo and the APC, citing the candidate’s alignment with their values and aspirations.
Overall, Ganduje’s visit to the Hausa community in Benin City served as a pivotal moment in the APC’s campaign strategy, marking a concerted effort to mobilize support and secure electoral victory. By engaging directly with stakeholders and advocating for Okpebholo’s candidacy, he aimed to galvanize momentum and strengthen the party’s position in the run-up to the September elections.
