Fubara Commits to Robust Leadership in Rivers State
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on WhatsappShare on EmailShare on Telegram

The governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has vowed not to govern the state in a subservient manner. He reiterated his dedication to leading with dignity and upholding principles that serve the populace.
Fubara articulated these sentiments at the residence of Sir Celestine Omehia in Ubima community, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State on Saturday.
Accompanied by esteemed elders of the State, Fubara visited Ubima to offer condolences to Sir Omehia, who recently laid his late mother, Ezinne Cecilia Omehia, to rest after a remarkable 95 years.
Expressing apprehension, Fubara observed that his political adversaries were engaged in a fierce struggle for dominance over the State, aiming to dismantle it. He stressed that only individuals of integrity who resonate with his vision can come together to safeguard the State.

He declared, “I unequivocally affirm that I will not govern our beloved State in a position of subordination. If that was the anticipation, I outrightly reject it. I am resolute in leading our cherished State with determination and consistently advocating for righteousness.
“Nevertheless, the politics of enmity will lead us nowhere. Hence, I extend my appreciation to those who acknowledge that Rivers State is a collective heritage. It is imperative that we unite to preserve the essence of our State.”

Through a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara elucidated that the purpose of the visit was to display compassion and solidarity with Sir Omehia, who, as a devoted son, had dutifully honored his mother with a dignified burial.
“In the presence of esteemed elders, I have come to offer our support and convey our heartfelt condolences to you. It is crucial to demonstrate empathy and compassion. Any individual who harbors animosity towards the inevitability of death lacks rationality.
“We also commemorate the life lived to its entirety by Mama. We bid her a peaceful journey to her final abode. May she find solace in her new realm,” he concluded.

Through his unwavering commitment to robust leadership in Rivers State, Governor Fubara continues to emphasize the importance of integrity and dignity in governance. Building on his pledge to lead with determination and righteousness, Fubara recognizes the need for unity among individuals who share his vision for the State’s progress.

In the face of political adversaries seeking dominance, Fubara remains steadfast in his resolve to govern without subordination, firmly rejecting any attempts to undermine the State’s sovereignty. He advocates for a collective effort to safeguard Rivers State as a shared heritage, emphasizing the futility of divisive politics and the significance of coming together for the common good.
As a leader dedicated to compassion and solidarity, Fubara’s recent visit to offer condolences to Sir Omehia exemplifies his commitment to empathy and respect for traditions. By honoring the memory of Ezinne Cecilia Omehia and acknowledging the inevitability of death with rationality, Fubara underscores the importance of preserving the values and legacy of those who have passed.
In upholding the principles of dignified governance and compassionate leadership, Governor Fubara sets a precedent for fostering unity, integrity, and harmony in Rivers State. His unwavering dedication to serving the populace with honor and righteousness serves as a beacon of hope for a future built on mutual respect and collective progress.
