Fulham have announced the re-signing of winger Willian on a short-term deal until the end of the season. The Brazilian winger, who previously played for the Cottagers from 2022-2024, has rejoined the club as a free agent after leaving Olympiakos at the end of December.

Willian’s move back to Fulham did not need to be confirmed before Monday’s transfer deadline, as he was a free agent. The 36-year-old expressed his delight at returning to the club, stating that he and his family are “happy to be back” and are looking forward to doing “good things” until the end of the season.

During his previous spell at Craven Cottage, Willian made 67 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists. He had a brief stint in Greece with Olympiakos, but lasted only three months before returning to England.

Fulham manager Marco Silva welcomed Willian’s return, describing him as a “top professional” with an “aura” around him on and off the pitch. Silva emphasized the importance of having players who can help the team grow, both in terms of their skills and their personality in the dressing room.

Willian brings a wealth of experience to Fulham, having made 317 appearances in the Premier League during his time with Chelsea and Arsenal. He won the Premier League title twice with Chelsea and will be looking to help Fulham achieve their goals for the remainder of the season.

Fulham’s next match is an FA Cup fourth-round tie against Wigan on Saturday, and Willian will be eligible to play once his move is cleared by the relevant authorities.
