Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has appointed Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo as his new Chief of Staff. This announcement was made in a statement released on Thursday by Mr. Kayode Akinmade, the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy.
Prior to his elevation, Taiwo served as Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) to the governor. The appointment, which became effective on December 18, was formalized on Wednesday when Governor Abiodun personally handed over the appointment letter.
While congratulating Taiwo, the governor described the appointment as well-deserved, commending Taiwo’s dedication and commitment to service. He also expressed confidence in Taiwo’s ability to effectively discharge his duties in the new role.
During Governor Abiodun’s first term, Taiwo held the position of Commissioner for Culture and Tourism. His exemplary performance earned him a promotion to Deputy Chief of Staff before this latest advancement to Chief of Staff.
Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he earned a B.Sc. in Statistics. He furthered his education, achieving advanced degrees culminating in a Ph.D.
