Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has received 59 kidnapped victims who were rescued by security forces in a recent operation. The governor warned against politicizing security challenges, stating that such actions endanger innocent lives.
According to Governor Sani, the rescued victims were given psycho-social therapy and treatment by the Kaduna State Government for 11 days. He promised that his administration will support the victims to get back on their feet, by giving them grants to continue with their businesses and farming activities.
The governor cautioned politicians against exploiting security challenges for political gain. He vowed to take action against individuals who deliberately fuel insecurity to advance their political interests.
Governor Sani stated that the merchants of insecurity will not be happy with the release of the innocent souls because they are benefiting from insecurity. He emphasized that his administration is committed to protecting the lives and property of the people of Kaduna State.
The governor noted that the Kaduna Peace Model, which emphasizes the use of non-kinetic approach, has yielded significant success in addressing insecurity in the state. He cited the example of Birnin Gwari, which used to be a no-go area but has now become peaceful.
Governor Sani promised that the people of Kauru, Kajuru, and parts of Kachia who are experiencing pockets of bandit attacks will soon be able to sleep with their two eyes closed. He assured that security forces are on top of the situation.
The governor expressed disappointment with individuals who are politicizing insecurity on social media. He stated that such actions are not opposition but rather a desperate attempt to further their political interests.
Governor Sani emphasized that his administration will not be deterred by criticism from politicians who are bent on politicizing insecurity. He vowed to continue working tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of the people of Kaduna State.
