Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has firmly denied speculations that he is planning to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He emphasized that Rivers State remains firmly under PDP control and that he continues to be an active member of the party.Governor Fubara made these statements to address and dispel recent rumors suggesting that he might be departing from the PDP.
These rumors had caused considerable concern among party members and supporters, prompting the need for a clear and direct response from the governor.On Tuesday, Governor Fubara had a significant meeting with a delegation from the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), which was led by Chairman Senator Adolphus Wabara. This meeting took place at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
During this visit, Governor Fubara took the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to the PDP and to reassure party members of his dedication.In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara acknowledged that he had experienced moments of doubt regarding his position within the PDP.
