Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, recognized the bravery of Higher Superintendent Osho Oluwasola, an Ekiti firefighter injured while extinguishing a fire at a filling station in Ado Ekiti. During an unscheduled visit to Osho’s residence, the governor expressed gratitude for his gallant service, emphasizing the dedication of public servants in the state.
Osho and his team swiftly responded to the emergency, preventing loss of lives and significant property damage. Despite being injured during the operation, Osho’s efforts showcased his commitment to public safety. Governor Oyebanji, who monitored his recovery, described his actions as a reflection of Ekiti’s spirit of selflessness and duty.
Speaking with journalists, the governor reiterated his administration’s focus on ensuring the safety of lives and property across Ekiti State. He praised the firefighter’s bravery, noting that such acts of heroism inspire confidence in the state’s emergency response system.
Residents of the Dalimore neighbourhood gathered in large numbers to welcome the governor during his visit, highlighting the communal appreciation for the firefighters’ service.
