A devastating attack by gunmen has claimed the life of Muhammad Adamu, the Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, shortly after Adamu had broken his fast. According to Ibrahim Yusuf
Babayo, the Plateau State Chairman of MACBAN, Adamu was attacked in his residence in Barkin Ladi town. Babayo
condemned the incident and called on security agencies to launch a thorough investigation and arrest the perpetrators.
The community is still reeling from the shock of the attack, which has been described as unfortunate and sad. Alhaji
Danjuma Ibrahim, a youth leader in the community, recalled that this was the third time Adamu had been targeted by
gunmen, but they were unsuccessful until the latest attack.

Adamu’s body has been deposited at the Barkin Ladi General Hospital and is expected to be buried on Thursday. The
community is mourning the loss of a vital peacekeeper, who played a significant role in ensuring peace within the Barkin Ladi area.
The Plateau State Police Command has been called upon to investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to j
ustice. However, DSP Alabo Alfred, the Police Public Relations Officer, has not responded to calls for comment.
The attack on Adamu has raised concerns about the growing insecurity in Plateau State. The state has witnessed a
series of attacks and kidnappings in recent times, leaving many residents in a state of fear.
