Stand-up comedian Seyi Law has shared a deeply personal story about how he was spiritually monitored by a friend who gifted him a pair of shoes. According to Seyi Law, the revelation came during a vigil in 2016, when he claimed God showed him that an object in his house was being used for spiritual surveillance.
Seyi Law recalled the experience on his X handle, writing, “I wish it was only a mirror they could use to monitor someone sha. One must be very careful of gifts.” He explained that on March 2, 2016, during a prayer vigil in his room, God told him that something in his home was being used to monitor him. Upon further investigation, he discovered that it was the pair of shoes given to him by a friend. His wife, acting on the revelation, took the shoes and burnt them.
Reflecting on the event, Seyi Law admitted that before this experience, he had been skeptical of people who claimed God spoke to them. However, he said that God’s guidance did not stop there. “I was awakened from my sleep around 5am on the 3rd March by a voice that told me to write down what I was hearing,” Seyi Law continued. He wrote down what he heard and later told his wife that she was pregnant, a prediction that came true after a few days.
The comedian’s story took a positive turn as he shared the miracle of his daughter’s life. He recalled that during her dedication, a prophet confirmed that God had removed the spiritual surveillance over his household and that the person behind the monitoring would never step into their home again. “The person hasn’t stepped a foot in my house ever again, no matter my invitations,” he said. He also credited fellow comedian @OfficialArole for being another vessel of divine support in his life.
Seyi Law expressed deep gratitude to God for the miraculous survival and growth of his daughter, whom he described as “my mother’s mini copy.” He revealed that his daughter had been almost lost in the womb, but God intervened. “They mocked her after she was born, but God has given her beauty for their ashes,” Seyi Law declared, closing his post with a prayer: “To God Almighty, I return all the glory. Aye o ni mu wa o. Amen.”
