The Jigawa State Government has taken a giant leap in revolutionizing the education sector with the launch of an e-portal for Special Assistants to submit their reports. This innovative move aims to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce unnecessary travel to the state capital, Dutse. The e-portal is part of Governor Umar Namadi’s efforts to prioritize education, as outlined in his 12-point agenda.
According to Hon. Abdullahi Hudu, Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, the e-portal will enhance monitoring of educational projects and activities across the state. The platform will also enable real-time data collection, facilitating informed decision-making. This move is expected to streamline the monitoring process, ensuring accountability and transparency in the education sector.
In addition to the e-portal, the state government has also organized a three-day training program for 120 Special Assistants on education. The training focused on school monitoring and improving learning outcomes, aiming to build the capacity of the appointees to discharge their duties effectively.
The training program was the first of its kind since the inception of Governor Namadi’s administration in 2023. It was designed to equip the Special Assistants with the necessary skills and knowledge to monitor educational projects and activities in their respective areas.
