Malam Dikko Radda, the governor of Katsina State, approved N248 million on Monday to provide starter packs to 634 graduate trainees at the Katsina Youth Craft Village.
The governor gave the state’s citizens assurance about his administration’s dedication to turning jobless kids from passive beneficiaries into active participants in the economy.
The governor reassured residents of the state of his administration’s commitment towards transforming unemployed youth from passive recipients to active economic contributors.
Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the governor’s chief press secretary, claims that this effort is in line with the administration’s main goal of removing young people from unproductive situations and integrating them into worthwhile economic endeavours.
“By providing these starter packs, we are not just offering support but creating pathways for sustainable livelihoods and economic independence for our youth,” the statement added
“The program aims to ensure that trainees meet both national and international skills standards, positioning them as potential job creators in their local communities,” stressed Engineer Kabir Kofar-Soro, Katsina Youth Craft Village Centre Coordinator.
Kofar-Soro further exhorted the recipients to utilize the government’s offer effectively.
“This comprehensive approach underscores the state government’s dedication to nurturing human capital and creating sustainable economic opportunities,” he added.
