Kwankwaso affirms NNPP’s readiness for political dialogue before 2027 elections
National Leader of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has confirmed the NNPP 2027 alliances possibility during Thursday’s NEC meeting. He emphasized the party remains open to discussions with other political parties, individuals, or coalitions ahead of the 2027 elections.
Kwankwaso clarified that although no negotiations are ongoing, the NNPP 2027 alliances strategy would prioritize inclusiveness and collective decision-making. According to him, the party leadership and members will be fully carried along in shaping the party’s political direction.
Speaking in Abuja, Kwankwaso stressed the NNPP is not in a hurry but determined to act responsibly for Nigerians. He explained that the party seeks dialogue grounded in fairness, transparency, and commitment to addressing Nigeria’s widespread socio-economic challenges affecting millions nationwide.
The NEC meeting also witnessed the dissolution of state executives in some states, with new interim leaders appointed. According to Kwankwaso, substantive leadership in affected states will emerge during the forthcoming NNPP convention, ensuring proper democratic structures are respected.
He dismissed recent fake news regarding alleged secret deals, affirming NNPP remains committed to clarity, honesty, and transparent engagement. Kwankwaso assured members the party will never prioritize individual ambitions above Nigeria’s collective interest, which remains central to NNPP’s vision.
“We are politicians and remain open to dialogue with anyone who seeks collaboration to better Nigeria,” Kwankwaso stated. He further noted that any coalition or merger would reflect the collective will of members and not a unilateral decision.
Kwankwaso maintained that NNPP belongs to Nigerians, not individuals, and emphasized inclusivity, while acknowledging the inevitability of members joining or leaving. He reassured the public that NNPP’s leadership will prioritize unity, growth, and accountability as 2027 draws closer.
