Public affairs commentator, Mahdi Shehu, has mocked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following recent political developments involving Governor Dauda Lawal.
In a post shared on his verified X handle on Wednesday, Shehu deployed sarcastic language in reacting to the situation, suggesting that political realities had taken centre stage.
“DAUDA LAWAL DARE: PRAYERS ANSWERED?” he wrote.
Shehu said, “He knocked and the door was wide opened. He sought and asked and was granted all that is feasible and possible.”
He further suggested that there was no longer room for delay or drama in the unfolding political scene.
“No more leg dragging. No more knee jacking. No more grand standing. No more swearing. No more prayers. Survival instinct is the only visible human reality,” he stated.
“Congratulations APC. RIP PDP. Sorry ADC.” Shehu added.
He further made a statement about former President Olusegun Obasanjo, saying, “Obasanjo on limbo.”
Recall that Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State had earlier said the outcome of the Court of Appeal judgment on the leadership crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would determine his next political move.
Speaking at a PDP stakeholders’ meeting in Gusau, he linked any possible defection to the court’s decision on the legality of Kabiru Tanimu Turaki’s leadership and the validity of the party’s Ibadan convention.
