Manchester City’s (Man City) struggles in the Premier League have been well-documented, and it appears that manager Pep Guardiola is already planning for a major overhaul of his squad in the summer transfer window.

One of the key areas of concern for Guardiola has been the midfield, where the absence of Rodri due to injury has been keenly felt.

According to sources, Guardiola has identified Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga as a top target to

strengthen his midfield options. The 22-year-old French international has been impressive for Real Madrid this

season, despite struggling with injuries, and Guardiola believes he has the potential to be a key player for Manchester City.

Camavinga’s versatility and energy are said to be key factors in Guardiola’s interest in the player. The Manchester City

manager is looking for a player who can provide a similar level of creativity and control in midfield to Ilkay Gundogan,

who has been linked with a move away from the club.

However, Manchester City will face stiff competition for Camavinga’s signature, with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-

Germain also reportedly interested in the player. Real Madrid are said to be willing to listen to offers of around €100-

120 million for Camavinga, although it remains to be seen whether any of the interested clubs will be willing to meet that valuation.

Despite the challenges, Guardiola is said to be keen to bring Camavinga to Manchester City, and the club’s hierarchy

are reportedly willing to back him in his pursuit of the player. Camavinga’s ability to play in multiple positions is also

seen as a major asset by Guardiola, who values flexibility and adaptability in his players.

However, it’s worth noting that Camavinga is not desperate to leave Real Madrid, and has prioritized staying in Madrid,

where he is challenging for the biggest honors every season. This could make it difficult for Manchester City to

persuade him to make the move to the Premier League.

In addition to Camavinga, Manchester City are also said to be interested in Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton,

who has been impressing in the Premier League this season. Guardiola is said to be a fan of Wharton’s energy and

creativity in midfield, and the club may make a move for him in the summer
