Prominent leaders in education, technology, and innovation will gather in Abuja for the National Conference on Innovative Trends in Technology and Development in Nigeria (NCITTD25), scheduled to take place on February 27 at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Asokoro.
The event, themed “Visions of Tomorrow: Sciences, Innovations, Technologies, and Applications,” is being organized by The Academy of Innovative Research, Science & Technological Development (AcIRSTD). It will bring together academic scientists, industry professionals, and researchers to explore the transformative impact of AI, robotics, IoT, blockchain, renewable energy, and biotechnology on Nigeria’s development.
Education Minister Tunji Alausa and the Founder and President of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Aare Afe Babalola, will be among the key figures at the conference. Babalola is set to chair the event, while Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu will serve as a co-chair. Also expected are the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
According to Prof. Akin Ogunsakin, the Lead Facilitator and President-General of IARSA Worldwide Group, the conference will provide a platform for discussing emerging technologies, sustainable development, and national innovation systems. He emphasized that the event will help identify real-world challenges and innovative solutions that can enhance Nigeria’s economic and technological growth.
Participants will engage in keynote presentations, panel discussions, and networking sessions, aimed at fostering collaborations among scientists, technologists, and policymakers. The insights gained from the discussions are expected to contribute to the advancement of science and technology in addressing Nigeria’s most pressing development challenges.
