Agents from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency stopped a 43-year-old woman who claimed she was heading to India.
The woman said she needed fibroid surgery, but officers at the airport weren’t convinced by her suspicious travel details.
NDLEA officers watched her closely, allowed her to check in, then intercepted her at the boarding gate for questioning.
They searched her bag and discovered 2.20kg of cocaine cleverly hidden in the factory-fitted walls of the suitcase.
The suspect admitted she wasn’t travelling for surgery, but was paid to traffic the drugs to India through Doha.

Adekanbi reportedly lives in Ikorodu, Lagos, and owns a hotel in Ogun State where he coordinates illegal drug operations.
He allegedly recruited and sponsored the suspect, promising her financial reward once she delivered the narcotics overseas.
NDLEA operatives have now launched a manhunt for Adekanbi and warned others involved that arrests are only beginning.
NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, confirmed the arrest in a public statement and shared further investigation details on Sunday.
He praised the vigilance and dedication of MMIA officers who prevented the drugs from leaving the country undetected.
Chairman Buba Marwa also applauded the Lagos team, calling their work a “crucial step in saving Nigerian lives.”
