The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a spare parts dealer, Levi Chidiebele Ubodoeze, for attempting to export two kilograms of cocaine concealed in vehicle propellers to Angola.
Femi Babafemi, the NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, disclosed that the cocaine shipment was intercepted at a logistics company in Aspanda, Trade Fair Complex, Ojo, Lagos, on February 21, 2025.
Ubodoeze was apprehended on March 6, 2025, at his home on Ago Palace Way, Isolo, Lagos, while attempting to flee in a KIA Sport Utility Vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a substantial quantity of phenacetin, a cutting agent for cocaine, weighing 75.5 kilograms, which was packaged and labeled as semolina.
Additionally, the NDLEA confiscated a digital scale used for weighing illicit drugs from Ubodoeze’s residence. In his statement, Ubodoeze admitted to dealing cocaine while running a motor spare parts business at Ladipo Market in the Mushin area of Lagos.

The NDLEA has intensified its efforts to combat international drug trafficking, recently achieving several arrests and seizures, including the interception of a shipment of cannabis candies imported from the United Kingdom.
As part of its War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) initiative, the NDLEA has also been conducting sensitization activities in schools, places of worship, workplaces, and communities.
Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), the chairman of the NDLEA, commended the officers and personnel from the MMIA, as well as those from the Lagos, Kano, Abia, Benue, Osun, and Edo Commands, for their operational successes.
