According to Brigadier General Timothy Opurum, the commander of One Brigade in the Nigerian Army’s Gusau, troops from One Brigade, operating under Operation Fansar Yamma, have claimed massive success in drastically decreasing terrorist activity in the states of Kebbi and Zamfara.
According to him, the army has taken control of the area and significantly reduced terrorist activity.General Opurum made this announcement during a Sallah luncheon with commanders, soldiers, and their families at the Brigade Cantonment in Gusau on Tuesday night.

“The One Brigade has been doing well in our operation, especially the ongoing operation forest sanity III. you will recall that a few months back it was not that easy, but with the efforts of our troops and the efforts of our officers, we have been able to dominate our AOR and Subdue the terrorists to a very large extent.”

The Commander thanked the soldiers for their sacrifices and unshakeable dedication, adding that the Chief of Army Staff has authorised further logistical support to improve their operations even more in appreciation of their efforts.In order to guarantee that every state in the Northwest is safe for peace and economic growth, he asked the soldiers t
