The Nigerian Army has emphasized the importance of honesty, fairness, and empathy in the engagement of its troops with the civil populace.
Major General Folusho Oyinlola, the General Officer Commanding 3 Division and Commander Operation Safe Haven,
made this clear during the Sallah luncheon for troops in Jos.
Oyinlola stressed that the values of honesty, fairness, and empathy should define the interactions between troops and
civilians. He encouraged the troops to remain disciplined, loyal, vigilant, and professional in their conduct.
The Army Commander also acknowledged the sacrifices made by troops in ensuring the safety and security of
citizens. He expressed gratitude to the families of troops for their unwavering support and encouragement.
Oyinlola’s message was echoed by the Chief of Army Staff, who was represented by the Commander Armour Corps,
Maj Gen OC Ajunwa. Ajunwa reiterated the Army’s commitment to strengthening its operational capacity, welfare, and combat readiness.
