The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has responded to the Presidency over its recent comments. The Presidency had said President Bola Tinubu had no plans to extend his tenure beyond 2031. The ADC described this as undemocratic and presumptuous. In a statement from its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party stated that Tinubu should get ready to hand over. The ADC blasts Tinubu, saying he must prepare for a more competent leader in 2027.
Security and Economic Crisis
The ADC highlighted Nigeria’s current security and economic problems. It pointed to the sharp fall of the naira. The party also stated the All Progressives Congress (APC) government has pushed many Nigerians into poverty.
Under President Tinubu, national security has become a joke. Terrorists, bandits, and criminals now act without fear. Citizens are being kidnapped in broad daylight. Rural communities have become warzones. The ADC says the government lacks the will to stop it.
the ADC statement which blasts Tinubu, the party stated that the economy is collapsing. The naira has fallen dramatically. Inflation is out of control. Food prices have tripled in many areas. Jobs are disappearing. The middle class is vanishing.
Businesses are also failing. They are suffering from high taxes and inconsistent policies. The ADC stated that Nigerians are now poorer, hungrier, and angrier than before Tinubu took office..
