The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Ondo State Command has made a significant discovery, uncovering an illegal crude oil reservoir hidden deep in a forest in Obe-Akingboye, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.
This breakthrough was made possible through a joint operation with the Nigerian Army and TANTITA Security Service.
According to DSC Daniel Aidamenbor, spokesperson for the NSCDC Ondo State Command, the illegal crude oil
reservoir was discovered on Sunday at about 2:12 pm. Unfortunately, no arrests were made as the suspects had
already fled the scene [2).
The NSCDC has issued a stern warning to those involved in illegal dealings in petroleum products, urging them to
desist or face the full weight of the law. The command has reiterated its commitment to protecting critical national
