Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Tinubu, has ridiculed the ADC-led opposition coalition.
He described the coalition as a desperate alliance lacking ideology and fueled only by hatred for Tinubu.
On Thursday, Onanuga posted via his X handle, accusing the coalition of pursuing power through misleading political theatrics and propaganda.
He stated that some individuals mentioned as APC members had already left the party months or years before the coalition’s formation.
Onanuga emphasized that the coalition consists mainly of discontented former APC figures hungry for political resurrection.
He specifically mentioned Rotimi Amaechi, Abubakar Malami, and Rauf Aregbesola as people who have either exited or been expelled.
Other notable figures he identified include Kashim Imam and John Odigie Oyegun, whom he tagged as seeking personal political relevance.
He argued that the ADC-led opposition coalition offers nothing new except bitterness, personal ambition, and anti-Tinubu sentiments as motivation.
“A party with no ideology and formed out of spite cannot deliver meaningful progress to Nigerian citizens,” Onanuga asserted.
He described members of the coalition as political desperados who cannot afford another four years outside national influence and relevance.
According to him, these politicians fear being sidelined indefinitely and thus scramble for new political platforms to revive their careers.
Onanuga warned that the ADC-led opposition coalition will inevitably collapse under the weight of conflicting personal ambitions and egos.
He urged Nigerians to remain focused on Tinubu’s administration while dismissing the opposition’s narrative as manipulative and self-serving noise.
The presidential aide concluded that Nigeria deserves stable leadership, not a chaotic alliance formed on grievances and fading influence.
